Feelings…..oh oh oh feelings…..Ok, you have to be of a certain generation to read that and have a song pop in your head.
Can you trust them?
Emotions and experience go hand in hand. Often, however, they come from a perception we have of ourselves or others. Sometimes they are accurate and sometimes, well... not so much.
Most stories, think Disney style or Transformers or the Avengers, begin with young love, wanting more, or a new adventure. Life is great. Life is grand. Life is exciting. Then comes the bump in the road, a terrible accident, trauma, or sometimes stupidity! Then someone, often a knight and shining armor comes in to save the day…. Or Thor, Captain America, Ninja Turtles….
In each scenario, either the person cannot help themselves and needs true rescue or agrees to the assistance.
Our God is even better. He knows you individually, personally and already has the plan and rescue worked out. His name is Jesus.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
I mean He walks through walls, the earth is his footstool, the whole world is in His hands, He defied death, and He knows all your secrets....and is the only who truly has unconditional love for everyone!
Place your trust, no matter how you feel, in the one who’s got the goods!
